#KicKeeGivesBack to OCRF
What can we say, we love to give back! Whenever we are presented with the opportunity donate our time or products for a good cause that we believe in, we jump on it! We were recently asked to be a part of OCRF.org's annual Super Saturday event held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, not far from our Wholesale Headquarters in Marina del Rey, CA.
Our lovely KP Gals, Jr. Account Manager, Amanda and Marketing Director, Lindsey, were there to hold down the fort, mingle with attendees and encourage some KP shopping to raise some major dough for OCRF!
What is OCRF?
Founded in 1994, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) awards grants to researchers working to better understand, identify, treat, and ultimately cure ovarian cancer. OCRF has invested over $65 million in ovarian cancer research with 237 grants to top scientists at nearly 70 leading medical centers.
Super Saturday is a daylong shopping event full of luxury brands offering discounted prices to media, celebs, families and anyone who loves to shop for a good cause! All proceeds go directly to OCRF. We were only 1 of 2 children's companies asked to join. We feel so honored to be part of such a great event knowing that many of the committee members specifically requested KP! We also received a lot of great feedback on our products from some of our favorite celebs, so let's just say it was a win-win all around!
Fashion Journalist, Louise Roe, stopped by to pick up a few items to give as gifts.
The lovely hosts, Molly Sims and Rachel Zoe, made the rounds and definitely did their part to help create awareness and raise funds for the cause. Rachel Zoe presented her current collections and held a book signing mid-afternoon.
We were so excited that chef, Curtis Stone, and his lovely wife, Lindsay Price, popped over to say how great our products were and picked up a few Coveralls to bring home to their kiddos!
Dave Annable and his expecting wife,Odette, looked so cute together.
Our fundraising tour continues on to one more stop this summer, the Children Mending Hearts event, coming up in just a few weeks, so stay tuned to see how that goes! If it's anything like last year (see post here) it's sure to be a good time!
